I don't want to bother my family or other friends, probably just need to vent. My roommate: owns the house, gave me a real deal on moving in...was a childhood friend i hooked up with, over the summer at my mom's funeral...now i don't think the discount is worth it...sort of afraid of him now...he's a 6 nite a week drunk...maybe even back to his coke habit, spending money like crazy, but never on the house (it needs a lot!)...he doesnt' have a car, i try to drive him everywhere he needs to go, constantly tells me he'll pay me later, never remembers, and treats me like a liar when i bring it up...if i say "no" he gets really irritated and says nasty things until i give in...same w/cigarettes, if i say "no", he gets really irritated and nasty; last nite he went into my room and took a cigarette, then told me and asked for more, said i never told him my room was off bounds to him, another lie;...he started getting nasty again (accuses me of using too much electricity, water, he wants to lite up candles-he knows candles irritate my sinuses-i gave him some cigarettes and he calmed down-i hate being afraid of him...i hate being controlled by him...i'm moving-so much for this blog-just have to wait until after the holidays for the money-i'm out of here! thanks for letting me vent

My roommate is seriously dysfunctional. when she is ready to have a conversation, she usually yaps about the things that her mom says to her and then laughs. example: "my mom says that its hard for her to look at me and that i need to get plastic surgery. hahaha." im glad you amuse your self, weirdo.

disclaimer: im sure not all chinese people are dirty. now that i got that out of the way...

my roommate is seriously disgusting. i went into the restroom and saw an orangish stain on the toilet seat and wondered, what the hell is this? but, clever me...i knew immediatley that it was blood. i looked on the side of the toilet where my roommate recently put a trash bag and there were open soiled pads lying in there. seriously? do you plan to leave this open bag in here until it fills or just until you are finished with your period? the next day there were 4 small black drip spots on the sink and after they got wet they turned red. that bitch has her entire months cycle in the restroom that we share!

i'd like to take a auto insurance business to small claims court? The insurance agency denied my claim, (I would take the at fault driver to small claims however I have no address to serve them or send a demand letter). One another driver was at fault but his particular insurance firm claims there is really a difference within our claims to make sure they need to take the word of their insured vs. my word. I do believe they acted in negative faith and did not execute a proper investigation would this be considered a valid claim in small claims court? I want to take the at fault drivers insurance provider (not my own) to small claims to the damages to my car.

This is my disclaimer, I'm a template month to month subletter, and the person I moved in with (Alex Gezon) is on the lease. Two months into my short term stay, in the beginning of January's 20 degree weather he let the heat get shut off, and refused to turn it back on, said it had to be in my name. I was moving out a month later and didn't agree with that because he's the permanent resident. Do needless to say I had to invest in a space heater and sleep with layers on.

Never live with this person until he learns to manage his money and pay bills on time.

I'm the one that doesn't want to bother my family/friends. Still here, due to a financial glitch...will be out next month. Now we have a dog. His brother's. It's unruly, but responds to adult corrections. My roommate will not correct it. He whines like a sissified 10 yr. old girl for me or anyone there to correct the dog. When he's alone w/dog he puts him in the basement or outside. I had to fight him to get the dog in the basement because it is too cold here for the dog to live outside. Ive noticed how his family and friends all make excuses for hime. I have news for them, they're excusing him right into insanity. The day i say goodbye to that trash (next month) will be a great day! Im already planning a small celebration!

I had such weird stories from my old roommates in Brooklyn that I wrote and produced a webseries about them. It's called Once Upon a Time in Brooklyn. Roommates try to pay the bills without ax murdering each other.

well, You might call me the ultimate bad roommate, but what I am doing is to protect my stuff and my good health. I lost my job and was living on what reserves I had in my bank account and I had been pleading for a long time to get people to stop stealing my food. So what I do was I took some stimulant style laxatives and started lacing my food. I caught my roommate stealing food by the results of his massive unwarned and unwanted release of his large intestines. This happened not once or twice or even three times I forced him to evacuate his intestines at least four times before he stopped stealing food. But this roommate had still stolen over 200$ dollars of food and ate about 15 dollars of laxatives before he stopped. Still this same roommate uses up all the hot water every time he showers. So, I have gotten around to turning off the hot water on him if he's in the shower for more than 30 minutes. He is also the one person that continually messes up the internet by playing around with the router, something that the has no idea how to work. SO, I have edited the router options to lock him out of all porn sites, torrents. I have asked him to not do what he's been doing, and even recorded him doing stupid things like taking a large bunch of balloons and dump them on the lawn to get rid of them rather than throwing them away. he also cannot clean up after himself at all, he actually paid someone else to clean up his bed after eating some of my lased food. I'm hoping that he's leave soon.

My roommate stole my rent, didn't pay this month, then as a parting gift before he took all his things and moved out through his window in the middle of the night, he urinated on my electric toothbrush, in my mouthwash and in my salon shampoo and conditioner. I was sick so my sinus' have been stuffed but I finally realized today why people haven't liked being around me for the last couple weeks.

I had the most annoying roommate ever, she was a nerd and wanted to study all the time (even on weekends). I kicked her out and found my party-lover roommate Monica from www.roomster.com.

i just started college and me and my roommate got along pretty well. but now that i've been having my boyfriend around she's been uncomfortable around him. Last weekend, she yelled and me and i've been staying at my boyfriends place more to keep her happy. A couple days ago i left my keys in my room and now she has them and i can't get inside anymore. i don't think these any reasoning with her and i can't switch dorms because we have less than a month left and i really want to get my stuff at least! :(((

I left this note for my roommate's brother that is staying with us for a month now. I will be taking him to a shelter soon. I was told it was a good letter-thought I'd share.
Dear__________, (insert bad roommates name)
Since you do not wish to see us, I am writing you this note. New rules and regulations for residing in our house.
First of all, you MUST have a FULL-TIME job to live here. Nothing is free and we are not a shelter for the indigent homeless. Good for you for getting the first job, but you need more. You are not too good to work for McDonalds or some gas station or grocery store. Get on it-the patience is running quite thin.
Next, you apparently have money to buy cigarettes and beer. Then you also have money to buy food. After today, you will not be welcome to eat here unless you contribute to the food supply. _______(good roommate) and I are not your parents and you are not a child. Grow the fuck up and pay your fair share.
More? Oh yes, you are a fucking slob. Stop it. Use ashtrays, do dishes, take out garbage, put shit away after you use it. Get the garbage out of_______(former roommates stored) car and clean up the bags from your ‘shopping’ sprees. You sit with the trash cans-USE THEM!!
That takes me to the ghetto scene you are creating in the garage. Fine and dandy that you wish to hibernate in there like a rat. The door is either open or closed. This half-way shit is done. Put my bike away when you are done with it. Better yet, take some of your meager part-time paycheck and get yourself a bus pass.
You want to stay here for a few paychecks to get your fines paid off. You currently owe $1092 in fines. Your check was $160. I cannot take this shit that long. You can do jail time to get rid of your fines. We cannot do jail time to pay the fucking bills. Get it? You need another part-time job and it’s time to put in to the household if you care to stay here.
There are places you can go to get help, food stamps, housing allowance, etc. Go there, fill out the applications and take care of your damn life. It is not up to _____ (good roommate)nor I to do anything for you. Once again, you are almost 47 years old. Get a clue man.
_______(good roommate) wishes to provide you with a roof and a bed. Stop peeing around the toilet when you are drunk and flush it too please. It’s just disgusting. Your laundry downstairs? Not done because you are too busy? I have been up since about 5 due to you smoking in the house that fucking early. Inconsiderate is a good word for you. You have done nothing all day-just waiting for me to leave I’d guess. Well, rest assured, I’ll be back and I’m not going to move due to the likes of you. So it’s time to fix this shit.
Again- Your food supply is ended since you have $. Go buy some next time you go to Austins. They sell more than beer and cigarettes you know.
______(good roommate) will get a copy of this-If you wish to discuss any of it, you have his number.

I live with my boyfriend (37) and his younger brother(23). I think that his brother thinks that I moved in here to be his full time maid. I just got done scrubbing his explosive shit off the toilet (which I have to do almost daily). He constantly gets urine on the floor in front of the toilet and leaves it there for us to step in. He eats huge amounts of food (some of which he steals from us) and leaves the dirty dishes in his room to accumulate mold prior to bringing them to the kitchen in one huge pile and just putting them beside the sink for someone else to do. Has parties and doesn't clean up all the mess he and his friends make and leaves all their empty bottles etc. for us to clean up. He goes in the bathroom when he knows I'm sleeping right next to it and blasts music at top volume early in the morning. He leaves his dirty clothes all over the apartment and I always have to put them in his room. He makes a huge mess of the kitchen and never cleans up after himself. He uses our bath towels and just puts them back on the towel rack like he didn't use them. We've tried talking to him about cleaning up after himself about 1000 times and he always agrees to then never does. I'm at my wits end with him.

I live with two international students from Pakistan and a fat Jewish kid from Beverly Hills. I think you'll find this story to be quiet interesting. I originally moved in because it was so close to school and it wasn't so bad at first, but it got increasingly worse and the semester progressed. They have shown themselves to be inconsiderate and deceiving to say the least. I never knew what the definition of a slob really was until I moved in with these guys (pictures later)
Lets start off with the table incident: A really crappy table lived in the kitchen, I sanded and oiled it so that it looked nice...I came home from school and they had drawn in permanent ink all over the table. They also drew all over my nice living room clock, "4:20". They do drugs and drink on average leaving bear cans and fast food bags all over the lawn and front porch along with ash and butts from the cigarettes and hooka of which they smoke day in and day out. It's sad because they trash things, sometimes they are my things, but in the end everything gets smashed and thrown out on the front lawn or in the backyard and set fire to. They hold bonfires in our back yard and there are always people coming in and out as they wish because the front door is never locked. It is a hard place to try and get home work done because they never stop with the deep house music. Not only that, but they eat my food when I've asked them not to. Dishes pile up for days. The stove and counter tops remain covered in grease and trash. It is so bad that they bought an industrial sized garbage can to fill up because they consume and create so much garbage! The house smells like rotting food and cigarets and ass. Mind you, this is a really nice house in a really upscale neighborhood by my school. I'm not living on the bad side of town , but it sure feels like I'm on the wrong side of the tracks! Now, they are planning against the home owner in claiming that we have rats, mice, spiders, mold and cockroaches in order to not pay rent...We don't have those problems. My room was converted from the dining room that leads to the backyard, they now want keys to my room because it was a good source of light and air for the house and they want to come through to get to the laundry machines in the backyard... I don't feel they've earned that right because they've trashed my stuff. They are always welcomed to come through when I am home, but I don't think it's fair for them to have domain over my room when I am not home and I don't like to leave my door open because the house smells like ass and my room is clean. The manager came over to collect their late rent yesterday and they left her sobbing and running to the car without rent. I left because the arguing and yelling was too much and went to the beach with my girlfriend to relax. I don't want to judge all Pakistani and Beverly hills people because but these guys sure make me think twice about being empathetic about Pakistan's issues and I sure as hell don't feel sorry for the wealthy fat spoiled Jewish kid from Beverley Hills. I'm Jewish and this guy's behavior is shameful on a whole new level for me. I can't wait to move out when the semester is over. Oh, and if your wondering, I'm not forking over my key the landlord can sue me if she has to. I pay rent and I'm here to get my Maslow's hierarchy of needs met so I can go on and get good grades...boy I can't wait until these douche bags are working for me cleaning the toilets of the company I worked hard to create while they were partying until 4 am.

my roommate is a horrible bitch of a human being. i stopped talking to her because every conversation ended with her putting me down somehow. Example, I was eating some ben and jerrys. put ice cream container on the counter to let it melt a little bit. she goes, are you done with this? i go- no, leave it out please. she goes, WELL YOU SHOULD BE. WHAT!! the catcher to this is that she is 250 lbs, literally 100 pounds heavier than i am! In telling a story about a man she was dating, she somehow said that my boyfriend has mommy issues, because he is younger than i am. how does a story about your date turn into a condescending comment to me? oh- she has a knack for it. by the way- its my house, and she rents a room from me. Would that stop her from having her family's thanksgiving dinner at my house? oh hell no, nothing stops her, because she is a big fat steam roller of inconsiderate rudeness. oh- i did get an invite. WHAT!! not to mention that any of my concerns as the landlord are met with stubborn defiance. like, leaving the COUNTRY and and leaving the bathroom faucet running. she disgusts me as a human being and she will die alone and pathetic. ahhhhhh. 63 days until her ass goes to the curb. what a relief!

I let a friend move in after losing her home. Her brother beat the snot out of her and she had no place to stay. I've know her a long time and figured she'd go back to her family or move in with some guy and be gone in a couple months. She's been there two years and has paid NOTHING. Every guy she hooks up with lives with his mommy and is unemployed. She's had drug dealers in my house and all my jewelry was stolen. I've had the cops and the paramedics to house on a regular basis. She has broken alot of my belongings, including a toilet. How do you knock a toilet off its foundation? There are cigarette burns in my couch and I'm going into foreclosure cause I can't get rid of her. She has flooded the house three times cause she doesn't know how to use a washing machine. Oh yeah, I feed her dog . I have gotten up in the middle of the night and found strange men in my living room, one of them with his pants around his ankles and vampire contact lenses in his eyes. Worst roommate ever and I'm told I have to go to court to get her out. Somebody shoot me.

My ex boyfriend said that my best friend and I were "the worst people to live with" and he "would hate to live" with us. I thought he was just teasing. I was wrong.

During one year of college, my best friend and I chased away four roommates. One just never bothered to move in after a few online conversations and some assumed snooping. One dealt with us but left the year on a no-speaking basis after some meetings with the RA and a few verbally abusive tiffs. One transfered out of the school (we only know this because my best friend overheard her telling the RA this), but we were never informed, she was just gone one day. And finally, one destroyed all of her pictures with my best friend, called the police, locked herself in her room, dropped out of college altogether (at least for a semester or so) and moved back home- over a thousand miles away.

Some people just can't hang.

The Bad Roomate.

It's a miracle my roommate Marcus is still alive. He's 19 yrs old and is completely helpless and seriously makes me question whether or not he's actually human. He eats rotten food. He never remembers to shut the front door. The front door to our apartment. He can't remember to shut the front door of our apartment. We live in a 5 bedroom apartment with 4 bathrooms and he insists on using all of them, even though he has his own that NOBODY goes into because its covered in shit. Marcus is disgusting. He eats rotten food. That's right, rotten. He's the most abscent minded person i've ever met, he will literally make himself a meal, then forget to eat it. What an idiot. Nearly everything he does is the opposite of what a normal person does. When Marcus uses a can opener, he somehow manages to cover the can opener in the contents of whatever disgusting canned soup he decided to make, then forget to eat, that day. He's got to be an alien. Like the one's from Men in Black that are obviously aliens. Oh, and about the rotten food. Yeah, at least a half dozen times this year, he has made himself spaghetti, eaten some of it, left without covering it or putting it in the fridge, left it over-night, then the next day I'll see him eating it. He eats like an insect. He probably is an insect, just like Edgar from Men in Black.

I made the mistake of becoming roommates with this girl I thought was my friend. Granted, she was a good housekeeper but I think maybe was a little obsessed with that. However, while she was a good housekeeper, she more than made up for it by being irresponsible with the finances. We moved 3 times in the 3 months I lived with her. Before our last move, she moved her obnoxious boyfriend who wasn't working in and got a dog (a puppy who wasn't housetrained). The first month we were in the new place, I paid the entire month's rent and security deposit and was never paid back for this. She was also $15 short her half of the rent the second month. Plus her boyfriend ate all his meals there and made long-distance phone calls he never paid for. I moved out after 2 months but told this roommate when she first moved the boyfriend in that I was moving out in 2 months. On top of all this, I also lost my telephone deposit and got stuck with their electric bill for the 2 months they lived in the place after I moved out. A couple times I came out of my bedroom to find them having sex on the living room couch when they had their own bedroom to go into. These entire two months, boyfriend never contributed to the finances and finally got a job right before I moved out (and it wasn't because they weren't there--he just didn't want to work).

Me and my roommate have lived together for months now, but Ive known him for about 10 years. I have lived in the same house for 13 years and moved out for 6 months and let him live there with his girlfriend while i was away. When i got back the house was a wreck, with their 1 1/2 yr old son living there... there were dirty diapers and garbage everywhere, cat droppings, and dirty laundry. It was the most disgusting house i have ever seen, AND IT WAS MY HOME. after a full day of cleaning, without my roommate or his girlfriends help, i could finally move back in. He had no where to go so i still let him and his child stay with me. Now, he is the worst roommate Ive ever had.

I told him no pets except for my cat. he brought a kennel with 2 cats and 6 kittens in it, but assured me they were staying for one night. They were there for a month, and i had to find homes for the strays.

He never pays his bills on time. He has a full time job so i expect him to - by the way my house is very cheap, about $200 a month- I find out he spends his money on parties and his Xbox!

He is plain disgusting. Sometimes i walk into the house and there are dirty diapers laying on the floor. I have finally trained him to wash his facial hair off the sink. he does not like to take dirty dishes out of his room, which still have food in them!

I never get help cleaning the house or doing the dishes, I also have to clean up after his son when he throws toys everywhere. he also does not keep an eye on his child. I have come home to everything in my computer desk thrown on the floor, all the pots and pans taken out of the kitchen and stacked on the coffee table, and the occasional crying because the poor thing is locked in his room.

My roommate will not dry himself off after showering. I come home to all the towels on the floor soaked and the bath mats drenched.

I am lenient about him having friends over, since i know most of them. I told him one person can not come over, someone who has disrespected me and my family over and over... so who was his most frequent guest? HER! He would let her in MY house to have sex on MY futon that i let him use.

i have asked him politely to not sleep on my couch, he ignored that. i asked him politely to not use my stuff without asking, he ignored that. i asked him politely to not let the cat outside, he ignored that. I asked him politely to not have parties because i go to sleep at 9pm and the neighbors do not like noise, he ignored that.

Note: I am 18, he is 23... shouldn't I be the one being irresponsible and him be the adult?

I have an on going issue with my former roommate. My roommate was having trouble maintaining a job. She managed to stay with the same company between two or three job transitions. They just kept cutting jobs. I, in no way quested my roommates work ethic. But after the last time she couldn't find a job and was living off her severace. She had decided, in the middle of the lease, that she was going to move across country (there was a dude involved). I said ok, and talked to her about how expensive breaking the lease would be and that 60 days notices was neccessary with the office. She lead me to believe she would take care of everything. Until she saw the bill. Then it was us. But not really us, because I had to pay it all and have been trying to recoup the money from her ever since. I am not in year 3 of trying to recover over $5000. Oh, and she let her cats piss everywhere, tear up my furniture, left her vibrator behind (gross) and didn't say a word when she walked out the door for the last time. Quality person.

Just venting. I let this 24 year old dude move in with me cause he needed a place to stay. College student with no job, parents pay the bills. He's a broke alcoholic and he drinks evrything I bring home without even asking. He hides his alcoholism from his parents so when they give him money he shorts me so he has some beer money. tired of supporting his habit. Just yelled at him last night cause there were about 8 beers in the fridge when I went to work and none when I got home. My girlfriend just texted me at work that he's playing my playstation while drinking the beer I just bought last night cause he drank all my beer. I just fuckin yelled at him for it and there he is drinking my beer again!!! He always says "I'll get ya back" but he never does!! A few months back I bought an expensive big bottle of my favorite Irish whiskey. I had taken a couple of shots out of the bottle and then went to my girlfriend's for the night. I came home late the following night, put a few things in the garage and then went to the front door where I was greeted by the douchebag, sloshed drunk, holding my duty weapon (I'm a cop. He heard the noise in the garage and thought someone was breaking in so the fucker went in my room and grabbed my department issued gun!!! He was totally smashed!! Then I saw the now empty bottle of my whiskey on the table!! Got the same old "sorry man, I'll get you back" Motherfucker drank an entire half gallon of whiskey and I was only gone a little over 24 hours! I can't keep alcohol of any kind in the house or he'll sniff it out and drink it! He does nothing to help out around the house except the recycling. He drinks all my beer, then takes the cans in for cash when I'm not around. Not that the recycling money is all that big a deal but damn, he already got all the beer out of MY cans, and apparantly he thinks he's entitled the recycling money too! I gotta get this loser out of my house!!!

I live with my cousin and her boyfriend. I've known her boyfriend for a couple of years and originally planned on moving in only with him because my cousin is a bossy, control freak, bitch who's constantly on a power trip. The day before we applied for the apartment he called me over and said "Would it be O.K. if she moved in too? She gets money from social security and it would help us with rent." We all talked and things seemed like they might work out... Apparently not. My cousin is unemployed and was living off of social security ($800 a month for A.D.D!) But after our first month living together they said she needed a re-evaluation. She never went. So now she leeches off of me and has the balls to tell me that I need to buy healthier food because her boyfriend is getting fat eating what I buy. She also has a dog that we're not supposed to have that pisses and shits all over the apartment and never cleans it up, and then gets mad because after stepping in dog shit a couple times, I now wear shoes around the house and she complains "I'm ruining the carpet" Also the bitch likes to turn the heater to 85 in the middle of the night. Oh yeah she's a hoarder who never cleans too. Her boyfriend is lame also he has never cleaned a damn thing. He lays on the couch and watches my TV all day, plays my Playstation, eats my food, drinks my beer, and borrows money and never returns it.

I have one of the worst roommates. She was a friend for 4 years before heading out to the big apple. First off...she's filthy. She smokes so much she has a hackers cough (we're mid 20s). She has lives with me for a few months and hasn't paid rent stating she has me next month.I guess that explains why she eats all my food, wears my clothes, uses my hairbrush and God knows what else. I've caught her smoking in MY apt and I hate it. The girl is nocturnal so she starts cooking pot pies at 1AM. She parties too hard for someone without money. Funny thing is...she's really cool as a friend. Shitty roommate. I also think she pawned my watch. Weird. You live and learn I guess. Oh I also found out that when I'm not home she sleeps in my bed. No thanks...that's not ok. I've given her a notice of bills that she owes me for numerous times. This is my fault because I keep letting her live here. Good thing I move out in may. She's on her own then

My roommate lived in the house for a month before me and my friend Sarah moved in. Nothing was unpacked. It was almost impossible for me to move my things into the house because she had buckets and boxes everywhere. Sarah and I used paper plates so we wouldn't have to do as many dishes. My roommate would use dishes and cook, and sit them to the side of the sink and let food get crusty on the dishes. Then she would leave notes on the fridge saying me and Sarah needed to do our part and do the dishes.
In the time we were living there, it was summer and the temperature was usually between 105 and 110. My roommate would turn the air conditioner off when she left the house, even if Sarah and I were still there. She would turn it off at night when we were sleeping (she had two fans in her room), so we would wake up sweating. We each bought fans for our rooms and I put a lock on my door. One day while Sarah and I were at work, our roommate stole her fan and gave it to one of her friends.
She had a lock on her door too and she would put the toilet paper in her room so we couldn't use it. We started buying toilet paper but she would sneak rolls out of the package so she wouldn't have to buy more. I had to start locking our packages in my room.
I collected empty liquor bottles from parties and I used one shelf to put them on (she decorated the entire house and I got ONE shelf but she was mad there were empty bottles on it). She called the landlord and showed her the bottles and told her that I was throwing parties at OUR house. I explained it to the landlord and the landlord got over it because none of the neighbors had ever complained about noise or problems.
We lived in a duplex and the one-bedroom next to us was also on our utility bill. The girl was behind on payments, so instead of talking to the landlord about it, my roommate started turning off the breaker to the girl’s house. I came home one day to a policeman in our house because the girl had called the cops on my roommate because she turned off the breaker while the girl was at work and it messed up her fish tank and killed all of her fish.
I went out to sit on the porch while I talked on the phone one night. She walked up to the window, looked at me, turned off the porch light, and locked the door. I was lucky that Sarah was out with her boyfriend and she showed up a few minutes later and let me in. Every time I went out with my friends, she would put the deadbolt over the door (one of those deadbolts they have on hotel-room doors) so I couldn’t get back in.
She changed the password to the internet and wouldn’t tell me or Sarah, so we refused to pay the internet bill and she got mad. She tried to take us to small claims court. Every time she got the bills, she told us they were about $20 more than they actually were. I knew she was crooked, so from the beginning I told her I wanted to see the statements, and I caught her every time.
She called the landlord LITERALLY every day. The landlord got fed up and evicted all three of us. Not kidding. That was the reason on the eviction notice.
Karma got her. She is living with her parents and tried to transfer back to her old store and they wouldn’t take her, so she is jobless.
I’m sure that was a little more sharing than necessary, but it sure feels good to vent about it! And reading other posts also makes me feel good to know that I wasn’t the only one with a psychotic roommate!

So, first off, I have to admit my foolishness for entering in a lease with people I didn't know to well. First off, the landlords rented the place to us because of my credit and responsibility, not to toot my horn, but my room mates I will describe as follows. One is 32, works 30 hours a week at buffalo exchange, and is obviously very self involved, the first night at the house (after we all had dropped over a grand on move-in) he comes home with bags of clothes he just bought, not goodwill status or even his own store, but designer brand, $300 jeans. The next two, I combine because they are a couple, now i know this is also foolish but they aren't a dramatic couple, but i realized very much why either, they don't talk, i don't mean deep satisfying constant conversation, but just basic day to day communication, one is 20 something and works part time at lowes and is also a student, majoring in financial studies, he has told me on many accounts, how much he knows about business and has criticized my boss and i and our business, and how we know nothing (while remaining the 2nd best fundraising firm in this country), i've also offered this jackass a job, an opportunity with an awesome investor, he never saw it through, his girlfriend, is just barely 20, and well let's just put it this way, dates for rent.... she works at a pizza parlor part-time, but obviously has her man whipped, never seen her wash a dish, or cook a meal, while he feeds her and his friends, not my problem, but just an insight to the kind of people i, idiotically, decided to get in a lease with. my poor landlords! they are a really nice asian couple, who've been nothing but kind in helping us with how to work a water heater or fix the sink, not the usual landlord thing, but certainly appreciated! after 5 months in, they leave the lights on all night (waste of money), the door unlocked(one day came home to find the door opened and the dog outside, nobody else was alarmed), a huge mess in common areas mostly the kitchen, now i don't want to seem like a nitpicker

Not sure what to say about this situation other than that it completely and totally sucks! My roommate happens to be a sixty year old woman with some disorder called dysonia. I moved in with her because I was in a total bind and jumped at the chance of having anyone one or thing as a roommate. Well, she did help me clean my previous apartment, as well as fix some other things, however, she would take things from my room, and I would see them hung up somewhere around the apartment. It gets worst. She then begins asking me to pay 400 dollars of the rent instead of the regular 350 which would have made our rent come out to 700 for month. Thing that I figured out though was that seh was really trying to pay an extra 100 dollars so that she would only pay 300 dollars! She keeps asking me for rides EVERYWHERE, the store, the post office, yard sales, all because she cannot drive herself due to her disability, which I am totally am okay with, but she is really pushing her luck with me. Now she thinks its okay to not ask these things of me, but to actually demand it, which only makes me less willing to do anything at all for her. Don't even get me started on asking me to eat my food, or cooking while making pot shots about how I'm not as helpful as she thought. Worst roommate ever.

Since I was a young nurse that needed more working experience, the only job I could get was a twelve hour night shift at Buffalo. Therefore, I had to buy sleeping pills to make sure I slept enough during the day so I could function at work. But my new roommate, Melissa McQuistion, stole almost all of my 200 EXPENSIVE sleeping pills when I was taking a shower. What made the problem worse is that I don't have a lot of money to begin with because I'm also supporting a son, am divorced, and I had to rent an apartment in a different city than my hometown to work.
The thief had to have been her because no one else was home. When I confronted her, she just said "What?" with a guilt-ridden face and hurried off to her own room to lock herself inside. Afterwards, whenever I entered the apartment, she would drop whatever she was doing to run back into her own room.
Before that incident, I never thought she would steal from me because she always acted so nice. I still thought that even after I was warned that she "used to be" an addict. What's even more scary is that she used to work in a health institution with access to pills. However, I probably should not trust what she claims to have been her work experience. Sadly, I couldn't report to the police because I had no proof. However, I couldn't have known that I would have needed a 24/7 filming camera in my own room.

i just started college and me and my roommate got along pretty well. but now that i've been having my boyfriend around she's been uncomfortable around him. :(((
